Valley Lift is a shared-ride, origin-to-destination, wheelchair-accessible transportation service for persons whose disability prevents them from using an RVTD lift-equipped, fixed-route bus.
Often referred to as “paratransit transportation”, the Valley Lift program picks up riders from their pickup location and delivers them to their drop-off destination. Service is provided within three-quarters of a mile from an RVTD fixed route bus line and operates the same hours and days as the fixed route. The cost to ride Valley Lift is $4 per ride. For more information, please review our Valley Lift Riders’ guide below.
Visitors to the Rogue Valley – Visitors from out of town, who are ADA eligible for ADA paratransit transportation services through another transit agency, who can provide documentation of a disability or can self-certify a disability that prevents them from using RVTD’s fixed-route bus service, may use Valley Lift services for up to 21-days days within a rolling 365-day period, without going through RVTD’s application process. The start of the 21-day period begins on the first trip. Visitors utilizing Valley Lift services for more than 21-days within the rolling 365-day period, they will be asked to submit a Valley Lift application to determine eligibility. Visitors needing paratransit services while in the Rogue Valley may contact RVTD to initiate the visitor process. RVTD will process visitor eligibility requests either same-day or within 1 day of the initial request. Visitors may contact RVTD’s Paratransit Coordinator for additional information by calling 541.842.2080 option 1.
